On July 7 and 8, the Astana Ballet creative cast will perform a tour in Kokshetau as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These days an exquisite program will be shown on the stage of the “Kokshetau” Palace of culture: the best examples of national choreography and neoclassical one-act ballet.
The “Astana Ballet” theatre will open its tour to Kokshetau with the concert program named “The Heritage of the Great Steppe” in the author’s interpretation by the Honoured figures of Kazakhstan Aigul Tati and Mukaram Avakhri. The hallmark of the theatre has repeatedly won a round of applause in the largest cities of Kazakhstan, Europe and America, charming the audience with unique national dancing and musical accompaniment. A unique collection of dancing impressions on national themes represents the modern Kazakh choreographic art, which organically combines ethnographic material and bold choreographic decisions.
Each item on the divertissement reflects the diverse philosophy of the nomadic people’s worldview and tells about the amazing stories that took place in the vast Great Steppe. The unique figurative picture and conciseness, as well as the lyricism of the performers’ positions have an attractive power and delight with tenderness and grace. The concert program is accompanied by visual and artistic effects, as well as the exuberant costumes. The aesthetics, staginess and sense profundity of choreographic works sink deep into the mind forever and fascinate the audience.
The choreographic celebration will end with a one-act ballet from the theatre’s neoclassical repertoire staged by guest choreographer Ricardo Amarante. “A Fuego Lento” (“Slow fire”) does not have the consistent development of action peculiar to classical productions, it is a free flight of the balletmaster’s imagination about love and desire. It is a ballet-passion, ballet-challenge about the feelings that excite the blood of lovers. It is about how previously unknown emotions ignite a slow but bright flame within us, how we plunge into the element of all-consuming fire, extinguishing everything around us.
Each item on the presented one-act ballet is a choreographic impression with the elements of the most vigorous and sensual dance - tango, in which a special role is given to a virtuoso technique, genuine temper and sincere feelings. After all, the only things that tango does not stand are dissimulation and falsehood, since there is no more reliable “lie detector” for our feelings and emotions than the embrace of a loved one...
Due to the variety of repertoire, qualitative performance and stage design, “Astana Ballet” theatre enjoys constant success in the native country and far beyond its borders.
