Full house and standing ovations: "Astana Ballet" Theater's tour in London ended

For the first time the famous “Covent Garden” met a ballet company from Kazakhstan. The performance of the “Astana Ballet” artists took place on the latest stage of the Royal Theater - Linbury Hall. Acquaintance with the demanding London audience was with a full house, the audience appreciated the rich tour program and the skill of the metropolitan team.

The connoisseurs of high art were presented with the visiting card of the theater - one-act ballets from the neoclassical repertory - “Love Fear Loss” and “A Fuego Lento”, as well as the national divertissement “The Heritage of the Great Steppe”.

- The artists in a good fit: they are plastic, artistic and musical. London has seen thousands of different ballet companies, but I’ll tell you for sure: this group pleasantly impressed all the audience. National costumes and music are simply magnificent, - the spectator Sally Moore shared emotions.

The opening of the evening was the London premiere of the one-act ballet Salome. The shocking interpretation of the famous biblical story by the English playwright Oscar Wilde served as an inspiration for its creator, Mukaram Avakhri:

- It was very exciting and honorable to present the original work of Oscar Wilde in London, because there is always a risk of being misunderstood. Judging by the reaction of the audience, which is always very interesting to watch, they understood and appreciated us. In general, I am satisfied with the artists and evening, - said the chief choreographer of the Astana Ballet Theater.

The author’s performance of the domestic choreographer made an indelible impression on the audience. Viewers noted the features of choreography, a combination of colors, sets, costumes and music:

- A very lively and intense ballet, what is happening on the stage does not allow distractions, keeps in suspense. I liked the choreography, it is impressive. The way the artists moved on stage, their bodies - everything is filled with expression, I am delighted, - the spectator William Bink shares his impressions - despite the fact that the basis of this ballet is Oscar Wilde’s play, it has a lot of east: first of all, probably because of the music. It is gorgeous, kept me tense to the last

- Once there was staged the opera “Salome”, I am lucky to see this performance. Therefore, I was interested in the program that Astana Ballet brought to London: I wanted to see a plastic solution to a famous story, and I can say that it is great, - said a resident of London Vera Ugarova.
