The Astana Ballet Orchestra, conducted by Chief Conductor Arman Urazgaliyev, will perform one of the great masterpieces of the Romantic repertoire — Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 26.
The evening’s soloist, Lim Ji-young, is renowned for her refined musical sensibility, expressive artistry and remarkable technical mastery. At the age of just 20, she became the first Korean violinist to win the prestigious Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in the violin category. As a distinguished soloist, she has performed with leading orchestras, including the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Mariinsky Orchestra, among others.
In Lim Ji-young’s interpretation, Bruch’s celebrated concerto will reveal its full emotional depth, from intimate lyricism to dazzling virtuoso passages.
