The programme will feature works by Akhmet Zhubanov performed by his great-grandchildren, Zhangir Zhubanov and Inkar Zhubanova. They will share family stories connected with the composer’s life, work and legacy, and present a new album dedicated to his music.
The evening will be hosted by Elmar Buribayev, conductor and artist of Astana Ballet, who is also Akhmet Zhubanov’s great-grandson.
This will be more than just a concert — it will be an encounter with living musical history, where the great composer’s music will be brought to life by his descendants, who continue the family’s musical tradition.
