The grand opening of the new season of the Astana Ballet Theatre!
The world-famous masterpiece “Le Corsaire” by Adolphe Adam will be
presented on stage by the stars of the Korean National Ballet.
On 28 and 29 August, the Astana Ballet Theatre will be hosting a tour performance
by the Korean National Ballet, in collaboration with the Korean Embassy in
Kazakhstan and the Korean National Center.
Set to music by Adolphe Adam, the performance, choreographed by Song Jungbin,
offers a classic interpretation of the famous story of the noble corsair Conrad and
the beautiful Medora. Audiences can look forward to exciting adventures,
romance, dramatic plot twists, impressive dance routines and spectacular crowd
scenes.
The production of the Korean National Ballet is characterised by a synthesis of
classical ballet’s rich traditions, notable for its grandeur, the aesthetic appeal of its
set design and their accomplished performing skills.
