NEW YORK. KAZINFORM - Performance of theatrical company "Astana Ballet" caused a stir among New York public, the correspondent of "Kazinform" International Information Agency reports.
A huge live queue for the concert was lined up in front of Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center a few hours before the performance. Many did not get to the performance because the hall could not accommodate all connoisseurs of ballet. "I love ballet and I am very interested to watch choreography of the Kazakh ballet school, to feel peculiarities of the national color, so today I'm here, and I'm happy that I managed to get an entrance ticket," Chris Johnson told the correspondent of Kazinform IIA. The viewers could see photo exhibition "Kazakhstan through eyes of world photographers" before the beginning of the concert in foyer.
"We exhibited about 50 photos showing Astana, EXPO-2017, nature of Kazakhstan, as well as traditions and culture of Kazakhstanis. There were no empty seats in the concert hall. As far as we saw, nobody remained indifferent. Each play evoked the spectators’ excitement and a storm of applause," the organizer of the photo exhibition, director of the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after Gabit Musrepov, Sabit Abdykalykov said.
According to the director of "Naz" State Dance Theater Sultan Srailov, the public’s great interest and emotional perception of the concert once again confirmed the status of New York as one of the world centers of ballet and city of its connoisseurs.
Recall that the concert was attended by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. "Astana Ballet" Theater presented "Kazakhstan Astana Ballet Gala" program within the framework of the project "Modern Kazakhstan culture in the global world". The program "Kazakhstan Astana Ballet Gala" includes choreographic miniatures "Arular", "Ak-kyz", "Asemkonyr", classical version of adagio from " Nutcracker" ballet and other productions.
