The troupe "Astana Ballet" theater performed in the legendary concert hall "Pleyel" in Paris.
The performance was the final chord of Kazakh artists in the large-scale presentation of "Rukhani Zhangyru" program in the French capital.
Zhanat Ernst, correspondent, Twitter@ZhanatErnst:
- A young but already well-known Kazakh theater "Astana Ballet" will start its autumn tour with a performance in Paris. Artists will present the best examples of national and modern choreographic art of Kazakhstan here. The music for performance within the framework of "Rukhani Zhangyru" program in France was selected carefully. These are the notes of the Great Steppe, modern works of Kazakh composers, and the European neo-classical.
Dilara Shomayeva, the soloist of "Astana Ballet":
- It coincided that one of the ballets “Love Fear Loss”, dedicated to Edith Piaf’s works and love in general, will open this evening in Paris, in the city of love. And I dance the very first pas de deux. A duet, which symbolizes love and birth of feelings, will open the evening.
Easy excitement of artists before the concert gives way to confidence after the first warm applause of the Parisians. They reverently took the beginning of the play, the modern production of Brazilian choreographer Ricardo Amarante. They are multi-genre miniatures about the eternal theme of love.
Mukaram Avakhri, chief choreographer of “Astana Ballet” Theater:
- We say, dance has no boundaries, it can unite and devote to something beautiful and sublime. I think that in any case it enriches and raises spiritual intellect.
Mikhail Shemyakin, a French resident:
"It is cultural bridges that should be restored through the people of art, and we will begin rapprochement through cultural bridges!
I have worked at the Mariinsky Theater for 8 years and have done many ballet performances in Bulgaria and Hungary. And I believe that this is a very high level! There is a national point, which is very important, and then the plastic of eastern women is extraordinary!
One-act ballet-tango "A Fuego Lento" again leads viewers to the theme of love, and "Legacy of the Great Steppe" - into the endless Kazakh spaces. Versatility and riot of colors on the stage give an unforgettable impression.
Yee Chou, a film producer (USA):
- Modern facets of this ballet charge with emotions. Excellent and dynamic! There were moments when I was ready to cry.
João Manuel Sebastiao Neto, Counselor of the Permanent Mission of Angola to UNESCO:
- I am very glad that I discovered the wide culture of Kazakhstan. This ballet is simply incredible!
A scene from famous "Cleopatra" about the little-known period of life of the Egyptian queen completed the performance of Kazakh dancers. Flowers from the audience and from children's ballet studio in Paris! The sophisticated French audience did not let our artists go on stage for a long time and asked for an encore!
Elizaveta Cherkashina, opera singer (France):
- Bravo, Kazakhstan! And to ballet artists! You get such an energetic positive charge, and just wings grow, and you want to live, and it's wonderful!
The tour continues. In early November, "Astana Ballet" will perform in Brussels, and then in other cities of Europe and the world.
