April 7-8, the capital troupe of "Astana Ballet" will perform in the Kyzylorda Regional Music and Drama Theater named after N. Bekezhanov as part of celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital. The scene of Kyzylorda theater will be decorated with the best examples of national and modern choreographic art performed by the artists of the capital's theater company.
The audience will be presented with a rich theater program "Astana Ballet Gala": a delightful combination of national color, extraordinary beauty and grace, expanses of the Kazakh steppe in the language of choreography in the program "Legacy of the Great Steppe", one-act ballet "A fuego lento" in the style of neoclassic and a fragment from “Cleopatra” ballet.
The program "Legacy of the Great Steppe" includes choreographic miniatures and fragments of ballets with a pronounced national color. All compositions are distinguished by the richness of folk traditions, versatility and huge emotional charge. They leave a deep impression due to expressive music and unique artistic images. The program "Legacy of the Great Steppe" allows us to present the modern national ballet as a bright, dynamic and unique phenomenon of its kind.
Also, the audience will be presented with a fragment from the ballet "Cleopatra" (Music - Maurice Ravel, choreography - Nikolai Markelov). This is a story about the little-known period in the life of the Egyptian queen, when she is attracted to power, and she starts fighting for the throne with her sister Arsinoe. Cleopatra and Arsinoe seek to attract the attention of Lachesis, the goddess of fate and ruler of human life. In the hands of Lachesis - the cherished symbol of power which Cleopatra and Arsinoe dream to get.
One-act ballet "A fuego lento" will tell about the first feelings of anxiety and emotional heat when you just discover the power of love. A powerful wave of delight embraces the body, and desires slowly burn from the inside. For everyone the world is concentrated in the beloved person, and the meaning of life is love (music - Lalo Shifrin, Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, choreography - Ricardo Amarante).
