On the eve of the New Year «Astana Ballet» prepared an unusual gift for residents and guests of the city. Soon, unique tours will be launched in the theater, which will turn the idea of ballet upside down and show you what secrets really hidden behind the big scenes. Guests of the exclusive tour will be able to see what is usually hidden from the viewer's eyes, feel the atmosphere, feel the world of dancing, touch the art excellence. A fascinating photo exhibition Astana Ballet are waiting for visitors of the tour, authored by Alexei Krivtsov, a member of the Union of Photo Artists of Russia, the creator of the “Territory of Ballet” project. The exciting, graceful bends of the artists' bodies through the lens of a famous master, whose works are in private collections in many countries, for the first time were presented to Kazakhstan people in April of this year. Since then, they have decorated the foyer of the theater, giving indescribable delight to the audience.
Here, guests will have the opportunity to get into the auditorium, which opens its doors only during repertory productions and premieres. In addition to interesting stories about the birth of ballet in the world and Kazakhstan, visitors can see a colorful excerpt from the upcoming play the «Nutcracker», which will immerse the viewer to the magical atmosphere of the New Year's miracle. It is assumed that each tour will be thematic, and contain excerpts from the upcoming repertoire performances.
It is noteworthy that the guests of the excursions will be allowed not only to look from the side, but also to touch the high art level, to go behind the scenes and see the “secret” side of the big ballet. Multi-layered tutus and ballet dancer's pointe shoes, the main positions in the ballet and the famous plié - all this will become part of an exclusive tour of «Astana Ballet».
In the program of excursions there is a visit to the dressing room and decoration workshop, where real magic takes place, where the masters of their craft impose make-up to the artists, sew costumes and make decorations for performances. Also, for the first time, for the visitors of the excursion, theater will open the doors to the rehearsal hall, where they can see how the artists warm up, hone their skills according to the current repertoire and learn the movements for the premiere historical production.
Especially for the performance «The Nutcracker», which will be shown in the theater from 22 to 23rd, on 25th, from 27 to 31st December, as well as 4, 5, 6 and 9 January the guests of the theater will have the opportunity to take pictures against the background of decorations, which are located in front of house, in a special area for photo shoots.
