On March 6-7, on the eve of International Women's Day, the “Astana Ballet” Theater will host a grand gala concert with the participation of Kazakh ballet stars. The audience will be presented with a rich program, which will include both masterpieces of the classical heritage and modern choreographic performances by the leading soloists of the “Astana Ballet”, “Astana Opera” and KazNATOB theaters.
In the first part, the audience will see fragments from such famous ballets as “The Nutcracker”, “La Esmeralda”, “Swan Lake” and “Le Corsaire”, as well as excerpts from the works of contemporary choreographers – “Diversity”, “Let it go” and others. The program of the second part will include: a grand pas from the ballet "Giselle", a duet from the ballet "Carmen Suite", an adagio from the ballet "Swan Lake", a duet from the ballet "Spartacus", a pas de deux from the ballet "Don Quixote", a fragment from the ballet "Love Fear Loss" and others.
Both evenings on the stage will be performed by the artists of the “Astana Ballet” Theater: Tatyana Ten, Farkhad Buriyev, Sundet Sultanov, Kazbek Akhmedyarov, Balzhan Abdrakhmanova, Weslley Carvalho, Ainur Abilgazina, and other dancers.
Also, the guests of the gala ballet will be the premiere of the “Astana Opera” Bakhtiyar Adamzhan, the leading soloists of the KazNATOB theater Zhanel Tukeyeva, Rakhim Dairov, and Malika Yelchibaeva.
“This gala concert is a great opportunity to see the modern face of Kazakhstani ballet, these young and bright stars - representatives of three ballet companies gathered on one stage. By the way, at the end of the first part, an unusual trio awaits the audience: the leading soloists of the three theaters, namely Farkhad Buriyev, Bakhtiyar Adamzhan, and Zhanel Tukeyeva, will perform a trio from the ballet "Le Corsaire" to the music of Adolf Adam. In general, the whole program of the evening turned out to be very rich and varied, in it we, first of all, wanted to convey the feeling of the arrival of spring - a new life, love, passion. Therefore, the whole program is a manifestation of love: passionate, romantic, melancholic. I very much hope that this concert will leave a pleasant mark on the memory of the metropolitan spectators, for whom we have prepared this program. Spring has come and I really want this romantic mood to be passed on to everyone”, - said Nurlan Kanetov, artistic director of the “Astana Ballet” Theater, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
The event will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in the framework of the 30th anniversary of the celebration of the Independence of Kazakhstan. Let us remind you that in March the metropolitan collective will present two more rich programs: on March 12-13, one-act ballets "Walpurgis Night" and "GAIA" will be shown, and on March 20, on the eve of Nauryz, the "Evening of National Ballet" will take place.
