In the center of the plot is a little Narkyz from the village of Shieli, Kyzylorda region, who dreams of becoming a ballerina. During the regional selections of the Moscow Academy of Choreography, she passed the exams and entered the university.

The shooting of the film "I Want to Ballet" took place in the native village of the young heroine, from where the camera follows the girl to the capital of Kazakhstan, where “Astana Ballet” was founded - the country's youngest theater, combining national style, neoclassicism and modern choreography.

Narkyz has a unique chance to get not only to the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, where her studies will take place, but also to visit before the premiere behind the scenes of the theater, with which every child who studies choreography and dance in our country dreams of connecting his life today.

The main character watches with trepidation how the artists prepare to go on stage, listens to their instructions and encouragement, her desire to become a ballerina and glorify her native country grows stronger.
