For the first time in Nur-Sultan! The legendary performance of the contemporary choreographer of genius Yuri Grigorovich. On the eve of the capital's day celebrations on July 3, 5 and 6, the premiere of the ballet “The Legend of Love” will be held on the stage of the “Astana Ballet” Theater.
Man is an era. The name of Yuri Grigorovich has long been inscribed in the annals of world choreographic art, and even more - it has become a brand, a distinguishing mark of quality, if any of his productions is listed in the repertoire of the theater. Legends are made up of his demands for the level of professionalism of the troupe, and he ... creates his own.
“The Legend of Love” is a ballet that became a cult immediately after its birth. It earned his creator the glory of a man ahead of his time, and the artists who performed the main parts had fantastic public love.
But before the spectators and guests of the capital see with their own eyes the masterpiece of choreographic art, to which applauds the whole world, the artists of the Moscow theater spend long hours in painstaking rehearsals under the strict guidance of the assistants of the choreographer Yuri Grigorovich - Ruslan Pronin and Oxana Tsvetnitskaya.
- We want it to be better than in the Bolshoi. Otherwise, why do we work here? We only think and do in such categories. And any new production gives an opportunity to take a step forward from the point of view of understanding this work, therefore we are doing here, as Yuriy Nikolayevich would do, based on the current capabilities of the artists. We are trying to set such tasks, because, if we consider the human body as a choreographer tool, like a painter, for example, the palette of these colors and possibilities of the current generation is much more than those artists who did it 50 years ago - shared reflections Ruslan Pronin, assistant choreographer Yuri Grigorovich
The plot, as befits an oriental tale, is elegant and simple. Queen Mekhmene Banu sacrifices her beauty for the sake of her sister's recovery - at the behest of the wandering magician she forever hung her face with a handkerchief. Sister Shirin survives, but happiness does not bring recovery: the young and beautiful Ferkhad appears in the palace, capturing the hearts of both sisters.
- Technically, of course, there is something to do about it. And Melikov's music is complex, fast, with its own special account. It is necessary to get used to this music and listen, preferably constantly, so that it joins and goes through the body, just like the choreography, - said the leading soloist of the theater Tatyana Ten.
Artists have been rehearsing in the halls for a long time, honing every variation, every movement and emotions of their heroes. The main parts are being prepared by: Mekhmene Banu - Aizhan Mukatova, Ainur Abilgazin, Dilara Shomayeva and Riza Kanatkyzy; Shirin - Anar Dukiyeva, Darina Kairasheva and Tatyana Ten; Ferkhad - Ilya Manaenkov, Kazbek Akhmedyarov and Farkhad Buriyev; The vizier is Amir Zheksenbek and Baurzhan Mekembayev.
- During the first visit of Ruslan Pronin and Oxana Tsvetnitskaya, we taught order, worked out technical issues, the party in this regard is very complex in itself. But when you are in the image, you live in this moment on the stage, it is transferred more easily. Emotionally the role is very deep, serious and difficult, you just imagine what it is for a woman to lose beauty. According to the libretto, Mekhmene Banu has already blossomed, she is full of life and was just beginning to feel her femininity and beauty, says the leading soloist of the theater Aizhan Mukatova about her heroine.
When the ballet was first created, the party of court painter Ferkhad, Yuri Grigorovich, put it specifically on Rudolf Nureyev. However, later, being a defector, the glorified dancer was never able to fulfill his dream.
By the premiere evening in Nur-Sultan, the leading soloist of the Astana Ballet theater - Farkhad Buriyev is preparing to embody the image of Ferkhad. The artist shared his memories of how several years ago he had already danced in this ballet:
- This performance is well known to me, I have already danced the part of Ferkhad, and therefore it gives me a lot easier than other artists. For me, there are only moments with slight changes in some nuances, but otherwise everything is familiar to me. I am glad that this performance is staged in our theater, because it is a very beautiful ballet”, says the artist.
What the tragedy of three hearts will turn into, descended from the pages of ancient Persian legends, residents and guests of Nur-Sultan will be able to learn on July 3, 5 and 6 at the “Astana Ballet” Theater.
