Full sold out: all tickets for Astana Ballet performances sold out a month before the tour

The Astana Ballet Theatre continues the seventh theatre season, delighting its fans around the world. The ballet company will perform on September 12, 13 and 14 on the stage of the Royal Theatre of Covent Garden - one of the most famous theatres in the world. For several months, tickets for all three days were bought up by judges of ballet art.

A multi-genre program will be presented to the London public: productions from the neoclassical repertory, as well as modern and national choreography.

The evening opens with the concert program “The Heritage of the Great Steppe” - the hallmark of the theatre, which the Astana Ballet Theatre invariably shows on tours. It combines fragments from national ballets and choreographic compositions reflecting the centuries-old history and culture of the Kazakh people.

Also, the one-act ballet “Love Fear Loss” will be presented to the London public - three duets inspired by the extraordinary life and delightful music of the French singer Edith Piaf. Continues the neoclassical theme the one-act ballet “A Fuego Lento”, combining tango movements with modern choreography to the music of the greatest Argentine composers.

And finally, for the first time outside the country, a one-act ballet based on the play by Oscar Wilde - “Salome” directed by Mukaram Avakhri, the main choreographer of the Astana Ballet Theatre will be presented. The shocking interpretation of the famous biblical story served as a source of inspiration for the Kazakhstan version, which uses a variety of performance techniques: pointe and barefoot dance.

The stage of the Linbury Center, where the “Astana Ballet” Theatre will perform, is considered the newest innovative venue for the Royal Covent Garden Theatre, located in the center of historic London. Performances of the company of the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera are held here, which are very popular among Londoners and guests of the British capital.

By the way, this is the first tour of the “Astana Ballet” Theatre to the UK. Earlier, the Kazakh team performed on leading stages in the USA, France, Italy, Russia, China, Belgium and Japan.
