This pearl of classical ballet repertoire with its fantastic choreography, scenography and costumes will certainly adorn the chronology of events of the capital's theater.
The play producer Ricardo Amarante notes, that before turning to classical heritage as a choreographer, he danced the main part of this ballet in different ballet companies of Europe and studied it enough for several years.
"I would like to bring my vision and today's reading of the performance through the staff of "Astana Ballet". There will be nothing global to change. But a certain interpretation will take place. "Giselle" will show creative potential and strength of "Astana Ballet" troupe”, he says.
The two-act performance was created on the basis of the old poetic legend about the villis, written by Heinrich Heine. Villis were the dead young unmarried girls, betrayed by their beloved. One of them was the peasant girl Giselle. When her clear and bright world was destroyed, the girl could not stand humiliation, inevitability of losing her beloved and died.
At night, leaving the graves, villis take revenge for their ruined life. They meet a man, lead to dance and bring to death. But Giselle's love for Albert was stronger than evil. She forgave and saved the count, who deceived her. Albert remains to live, but eternal regret of lost love resides in his heart.
"Astana Ballet" opens a new facet of ancient ballet in this production. Spirituality and poetry of this performance-legend, undeniably the top of romanticism, remain unchanged.
According to the director of the play Ricardo Amarante, special effects will be applied to give the spectators real emotions. And also A. Adan’s music will be performed by the symphony orchestra, which will certainly give a special atmosphere.
