October 2 is International Ballet Day. On this day, the most famous theaters around the world conduct online broadcasts on social networks, talking about the backstage of the ballet world. In anticipation of the celebration, the Astana Ballet Theater decided to go further and launch a unique action - “Open Day”. September 30 at 12:00 everyone can visit the theater, where they can plunge into the magical world of dance art.
Visitors will find a fascinating Astana Ballet photo exhibition authored by Alexey Krivtsov, a member of the Union of Russian Photo Artists, creator of the Ballet Territory project. Exciting, graceful curves of the bodies of artists through the lens of a famous master, whose works are in private collections in many countries, adorn the lobby of the theater, giving an indescribable delight to the audience.
Here, guests will have the opportunity to get into the auditorium, where they will hold a fascinating lecture on the work of the great American neoclassic - George Balanchine, whose production is “Concerto Baroque”, will soon decorate the repertoire of the Astana Ballet Theater. In addition, visitors will be able to see an excerpt from the rehearsal of the upcoming premiere on October 4 and 5.
