Debut of the Symphony Orchestra of the Astana Ballet Theater

On February 26, the debut concert of the symphony orchestra of the Astana Ballet Theater took place under the direction of chief conductor Arman Urazgaliyev. The new metropolitan team, which brought together talented musicians, is already distinguished by a high professional level. The Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abaev delivered a welcoming speech.

“The creation of our own symphony orchestra is an indicator of a high level of cultural development and a significant event in the musical life of the capital, to which we have been moving for a long time. For us it is a great pride and responsibility. The new orchestra faces an ambitious task: to become one of the leading artistic groups of the country in order to represent the culture of Kazakhstan at a high level,” said theater director Alexander Sovostyanov.

The concert program "L'ouverture" included popular works of classical music. In the first part of the metropolitan public presented a symphonic poem "Dudaray" by E. Brusilovsky, "Danse Macabre" by C. Saint-Saens and "Spanish Capriccio" by N. Rimsky-Korsakov. In the second part - concerto for piano and orchestra # 3 by Rachmaninoff. It should be noted that the guest soloist was Amir Tebenikhin, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a famous pianist, laureate of many international competitions.

“In Kazakhstan, this is the youngest professional team both in terms of composition and time of existence. Playing a concert for the public for the first time is a great responsibility for me and for all musicians, we have been waiting for this for a long time, we want to give our creativity to all residents and guests of the capital. For the debut concert, bright, interesting, not so often performed in Kazakhstan works were chosen, where we showed our capabilities to the fullest. Judging by the reaction of the audience, our orchestra fell in love with the audience from the first concert,” said Arman Urazgaliyev, chief conductor of the theater's symphony orchestra.

“This is a very important concert for us, because the band is very young. There are both experienced and young talented musicians in our orchestra, but the most important thing that distinguishes them is the desire to play, the desire to work, the desire to show that art is above all,” shared Kalamkas Dzhumabayeva, concertmaster of the Astana Ballet Symphony Orchestra.

The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
