"Astana Ballet" presented the September show bill of the XI theatrical season

On September 15 and 16, the long-awaited opening of the 11th season will take place at the Astana Ballet Theater with the performance of “Carmen Suite” by A. Alonso to the music of J. Bizet, arranged by R. Shchedrin. Viewers will be immersed in a world of passion, love and intrigue, discovering new facets of the famous story. In the second part of the evening, the author's ballet “Arcanas of Fate” will be presented, choreographed by the theater’s chief choreographer Mukaram Avakhri to the music and libretto of the famous Kazakh composer Karina Abdullina.

“There are only a few days left before the opening of the 11th theater season; life in our theater is in full swing: the introduction of new artists, work on premieres and performances that are loved by many spectators. For us, the opening of a new season is a solemn, but at the same time responsible and exciting moment. We are looking forward to meeting our beloved spectators, we miss our wonderful audience so much,” notes the theater’s artistic director Nurlan Kanetov.

The variety of the capital's theater posters is impressive in its scale and unique approach to art. The well-known and beloved performances will provide theater fans with the opportunity to once again relive the excitement and joy of watching their favorite productions and enjoy the high professionalism of the artists.

On September 22, connoisseurs of high art will be able to enjoy the premieres of the anniversary season - “Soli Deo Gloria” by Ainur Abilgazina to the music of Gustav Mahler, accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the Astana Ballet Theater and “Nine” in the choreography of Olzhas Makhanbetaliev to the music of Lisa Gerrard. These unique productions by young choreographers open up new unknown facets of art and amaze the viewer with their beauty and depth.

On September 29 and 30, the Astana Ballet Theater will present the national divertissement “Heritage of the Great Steppe” in the choreography of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Aigul Tati, which is rightfully considered the hallmark of the theater. A deep ethnographic and imaginative story about Kazakh identity, reflecting the richness and beauty of the culture of the Great Steppe. The program contains the latest achievements of Kazakh choreographic art, presents original and unusual combinations of ethnographic elements, dance traditions and modern choreographic solutions.

“In the new season we will delight the viewer with several premieres, and on October 6 and 7 we will present the national fairy tale “Ot kyz”. This performance is the result of the joint efforts of talented authors: the libretto created by Bakhyt Kairbekov reveals the richness of our culture and conveys its special spirit, the music written by the famous Kazakh performer Karina Abdullina enriches the performance with deep emotions, and the combination of talent, creativity, and innovative approaches of the choreographer Mukaram Avakhri will give the audience unforgettable emotions and impressions. Each theater season is the beginning of an interesting journey into the world of high art, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the theater and enjoy its splendor,” concluded theater director Alexander Sovostyanov.
