The three-day tour of the «Astana Ballet» Theater, which took place last weekend in one of the cultural centers of Kazakhstan, ended with unchanged success. All days the «Astana Ballet» was collecting collected full houses. The unique program, which included the masterpieces of the world ballet and the best modern productions, caused a storm of delight from the audience. The hall was literally torn by applause and sincere excited «Bravo!».
To the attention of those who value and love ballet art were presented such famous creations as «In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated» by William Forsythe and «Serenade» by George Balanchine. The program also included the staging of American choreographer Nicolo Fonte's «Love's Lost Idols» and, having already won the love of the metropolitan audience, the ballets of the guest choreographer of the theater Ricardo Amarante: «Love. Fear. Loss» and «A Fuego Lento». Performances were held on the stage of the Russian Drama Theater named after Konstantin Stanislavsky.
It should be reminded, that five years ago, the «Astana Ballet» already visited the mining town with tours, where the theater showed full-fledged performances from the repertoire. In the meantime, the repertoire list managed to enrich. Now, in addition to the two choreographic miniatures of the concert programs «Astana Ballet Gala» and «The Heritage of the Great Steppe», the theater’s repertoire includes more than 18 ballets, including works of the recognized geniuses like William Forsythe and George Balanchine. The masterpieces of the world ballet, created by these choreographers, became a part of a unique tour program of the Moscow theater, shown last weekend in Karaganda.
«Ballet is still very difficult art and «flitter», as ballet dancers do, is a hard work. So, there is no doubt about the professionalism of the «Astana Ballet» dancers. All of them are moving on the stage so gracefully and easy, - said spectator Anna Strokova. - Most of all, I probably remember a production of Forsythe, where there is a clear pattern of dance, and the artists build incredible geometric shapes. No less delight is the musical accompaniment of this production - energetic and brutal music that suits my temperament. In general, I was pleased and would be excited watching the whole repertoire of the theater. I will definitely try to see the performances, if I will go to Astana and if you are in Karaganda, there is no way I will miss it».
We note, that this year the repertoire of the «Astana Ballet» will be replenished with four new productions. Among them are: the first historical film ballet «Sultan Beibars» by Kazakhstan choreographer Mukaram Avakhri, «A journey of a memory» by contemporary American choreographer Raimondo Rebeck, «The Legend of Love» by Russian director Yuri Grigorovich and «Cinderella» directed by Nadezhda Kalinina.
As part of the tour, the creative troupe of the «Astana Ballet» Theater also visited the Historical and Cultural Center of the First President, which opened on November 22, 2011 in Temirtau, with the participation of the Head of State - Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Leader of the Nation. It should be noted that this center was built to reveal, through a lens of the biography of the First President, the themes of the formation of Independent Kazakhstan, as well as the development of the giant of the heavy industry, Kazakhstan Magnitka.
