"Astana Ballet" gave three charity concerts for the capital's doctors

Last weekend, the “Astana Ballet” Theater hosted three charity concerts - a dedication to doctors and all medical workers, whose noble and heroic work helps thousands of people in the difficult fight against coronavirus infection.

“At a time when we were all in isolation, doctors worked at their workplaces, fought for the lives and health of people. And, in fact, that is why we decided to devote the first ten concerts of the new season to medical workers as our gratitude", - said the director of the “Astana Ballet” Theater Alexandr Sovostyanov.

Artists of the capital theater presented a concert program consisting of two parts: one-act ballet by Ricardo Amarante "Love Fear Loss", as well as the national divertissement "Heritage of the Great Steppe". This choreographic collection includes 13 dance miniatures staged by Kazakhstani ballet masters of the past and present: Aigul Tati, Anna Tsoi, Zauyrbek Raibayev, Dauren Abirov and others.

The choreographer of the “Astana Ballet” Theater, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Aigul Tati spoke about the special mission of the concert. “Our choreographic art is filled with sincerity and gratitude. We believe in its healing power, it ennobles, lifts the spirit, gives peace of mind, which is especially important and necessary in these difficult days”, - she shared.

Aizhan Mukatova, the leading soloist of the “Astana Ballet” Theater, agreed with her: “I bow to people who work in difficult conditions, doing their medical duty, knowing full well that they risk their health and life every day”, - the artist noted.

The auditorium, designed for more than 700 seats, looked unusual: according to the decree of the capital's sanitary doctor, the spectators of the performance should not exceed fifty people. But even the half-empty hall did not affect the quality of the applause, which the audience awarded the artists at the end of the performance.

“I got great aesthetic pleasure. What wonderful plastic art the artists have, what national flavor in a modern frame - everything was incredibly beautiful and talented. Joy and great mood were felt from the artists. I think this was conveyed to everyone”, - Gulnar Amanzholova, doctor of the city center of phthisiopulmonology, shared.

In total, the management of the theater planned to hold ten charity concerts, six of which have already taken place in the cities of Shymkent and Nur-Sultan. In November, the collective will give 4 more charity concerts in Karaganda and Semey.
